jason was wandering around town, when he passed by a small cafe, he was about 6'2" with long jetblack hair. he wore a black coat with a hood that hid his face from view. under the coat was a white tshirt with black jeans. he went inside and took a seat. "its been 13 years... 13 long years since that day." he thought to himself, the day when he and his destined mate, who was still a child at the time, were attacked, and the young girl was stolen away. jason had vowed to find her again, and that he would... little did he know, the girl was closer than he thought...

A waitress in her twenties, was taking down orders for the people in the cafe, and she was making a curcit in the room. Her wavy curly red hair would probably have given her away long before those grassy golden green eyes of hers did. But she was slightly pale as if no mater how long she spent in the day time hours she never seemed to tan.

But that was due to had happened to her thirteen years ago and though she tried not to think about it when she was serving the people that came here to eat. It was hard when your boss in the cafe was also the alpha of the clan of werewolves that had attacked her so long ago.
She had to learn to walk not like a predator among the humans ever sense that night.

She came to Jason finally though her eyes showed no hint of recognition at the moment. "Have you decided what you are going to eat or drink sir?" Came her soft voice, though she often was tired of this job she never complained no matter how many times the males who got drunk made passess at her or the married ones tried to flirt with her.

jason looked up slightly, still hiding his face under the hood. the voice had the same ring, the same ring that the girl he knew had... "a cup of water please, that will be all." he looked up a bit more, and saw her face. it WAS her... soon another waiter said " Selina, the boss would like to see you, he says its important." the waiter then left, and jacob had a feeling that werewolves were involved.

Selina sighed a bit mentally at that. "I will be back after I talk with the boss to get your cup of water." So she headed in the direction of the office where the head boss of the clan was. She didn't like dealing with him much. He was a bit arrogant and had a mean streak a mile wide when he thought no one was listening to him. She had learned to avoid him when he got in one of those moods. But now probably wasn't the time.

So as she got to the door she knocked on it briefly and waited for him to announce that she could enter. It had always been her habbit to do this with the head boss. She didn't want to antagnize him further and was only being polite in doing so.

jasob nodded. he decided to follow her in the shadows. it was a special ability he had that enabled him to sink into shadows, and hop from one to another. he hid in selina's shadow, and waited for the right moment to jump out. the alpha, botta, said "enter, " when selina walked in botta said "ah, there you are, took you long enough. the reason i called you in here, starts with the vampire. we have seen no signs of him for thirteen years now, and since he obviously isnt here... we have no more need for you." botta's claws came out of his fingertips and he said "are you ready to die, whelp?" jason suddenly began to rise out of selina's shadow and when he was completely out he said "Are you?" he jumped infront of selina and said "long time no see seli." he had used her nickname he had given her when they first met. botta smirked and said "well well, if it isnt the vampire, good timing, i can take care of two problems in a few minutes." he smirked and charged at jacob, who charged back with dual knives in his hands

Selina's eyes widned at that nick name, it brought with it a wealth of flash blacks that almost made her howl in pain, and would revealed just what the attack of the werewolves had done to her. How ever she didn't know if Jason could win against the aplha he was pretty powerful. "Are you sure you can defeat him?"

jason suddenly vanished before botta slashed him, and appeared in the air, behind him, delivering a downward kick to the head. it dazed botta, but he quickly turned around and tried to slash jason with his claws. he was blocked though with one of the knives and then stabbed in the chest with the other. the knives were made of pure silver, and caused botta to fall to the ground, dead. jason sighed and said "his arrogance was his downfall." he looked at selina and asked "are you okay? did he hurt you at all?"

Selina veiled her eyes for a moment as she glanced away from the dead lycan. "I don't know if you remember much of the attack thirteen years ago. But the lycan you just killed was the aplha of his pack. He was the one that caused me to become half lycan." She really hadn't wanted to say that at all. But she felt that he should know the truth of what happened. "I was allowed into their pack only because I was a mistake they thought it would be too dangerous to allow the curse to make me a full lycan so they managed to change it so I would only become half during the full moon.
Still they will be rather upset that their leader is now dead."

jason nodded, "do not worry, you are still you, no matter what they did, " he looked at the dead lycan, "We have to get out of here before the others sense that their leader is dead. hold onto me, and dont let go, ill get you out of here," before selina could respond he picked her on on his back, holding her up, and began to dash, out of the cafe, out of the town, and into a small clearing in the woods, where a large mansion stood. "here we are, " jacob said as he let selina down.

Selina gained her balance easily and then glanced around noticing the mansion that was standing there. "Where exactly are we?" Though if selina had known that her absence was going to cause a problem with the lycans. She might not have left and let them kill her. As it was things were going to change and it would not be for the better.

jason said "we are at my home, " he set her down, and led her inside. inside of the mansion, it was nicely furnished and lit, but not too bright for jason to be affected by it, "sit down on the couch, ill make you something to eat, those lycans probably didnt feed you very well," he went into the kitchen and began to make up some ramen noodles for the two of them.

Selina smiled softly and nodded her thanks. Then went to settle herself down on the couch. Of course she wouldn't admit that they hadn't feed her to well. She almost starved the times the pack had hunted for their meals. Which was why in secret she had hunted for herself without the aplhas knowledge. Had the alpha known he probably would have killed her alot sooner.

jason smiled as he cooked, it brought back memories of how he would cook up selina's favorite foods when she had been good. when the ramen was done, he put half of it into one bowl for selina and the other half into another bowl for himself, he then brought it out and said "here you go selina, " he said with a small smile. "eat up, you probably are very hungry by now" he sat down next to her and began to eat his.

Selina smiled faintly and slowly started eating hers. It brought back long burried memories that had slowly fadded for as long as she had spent with the werewolf pack. She suspected the leader had repressed her memories so that she wouldn't be able to remember as clearly. But now it was comming back.

jason sighed. "selina, i know it might be painful to remember the memories that are probably buried in your mind, but it will be worth it, also... i should probably tell you why i was your friend back then, and why i have spent thirteen years searching for you." he stopped there, he took another bite of the ramen, before continuing. "it is said that every one thousand years, a human is born, that a vampire is destined to be with, i am that vampire, and as you can probably guess, you are the human. i dont expect you to feel the same way right now, but you can still stay here under my protection from the lycans. "

Selina sighed a bit. "They are painful to recall. I suspect the leader of the pack suppressed my memories to stop me from remembering. When you are part of a pack everything you've ever thought is known to the rest. There is no privacy in the pack at all. I didn't much like that at all but there was little I could do about it. It may take time before I remember everything and even then I will most likely suffer pain from it. But it would be nice to remember old memories again." She felt that, that part of herself had been taken away and she wasn't really whole with it gone. Sure she got painful flashes of memories of the past, but never the full thing.

jason stroked her hair with a gloved hand, " im sure you will remember it all in due time. " he then remembered that the mansion was mostly libraries and storage rooms, and at the time there was only one useable bedroom, jason's... "uh selina? we are going to have to share a room... the only other bedroom is very unkept, and a bit dirty... but i normally sleep in the shadows, so you can use the bed"

Selina blushed from what he had told her. "I guess that is alright with me. I might feel a bit uncomfortable with that though but its nothing I can't handle. I would hope that my memories would come back. But for now they only come in flashes sense the alpha was killed. But I have a feeling that they will retaliate for the leader being dead."

jason chuckled and said "dont worry, knowing those werewolves, they will probably be fighting amongst themselves to find a new alpha before they come after us, " he sighed and looked down at his now empty bowl... "selina,,, i guess i had better tell you this now, but please... dont freak out, when i returned to your house to tell your parents what had happened... i, found them outside on the ground, dead...your mother, she had this in her hand when i found her. " he handed selina a golden pendent with a picture of her and her parents when she was still young. "im... sorry i wasnt able to save them..." he continued to look down. feeling ashamed.

Selina glanced at the pendent, and silent tears oozed down her face when she learned of their deaths. "I suppose it was the werewolves who were responsible for their deaths. And it is not your fault that you could not save them, I don't blame you." But she did how ever find fault with the werewolves.
