grendal nodded and took off after a-star. he flew up and saw her in the distance, near a lair. he flew down and landed next to her "a-star, i dont care what you say, or what you do, but we are bonded, and i will not take any chances of anything happening to you. so whether you like it or not, im staying by your side. " he had a fire of determination in his eyes, and a tone of stubbornness in his voice.

A-star turned around and glared at him. "And if I get to the point where I need something badly, and try to seduce you. Are you willing to pay the price for that dragon champion." Though her voice came out more in a low tone roar it was still pretty loud.

grendal nodded, not scared by her comment, "yes, i will pay the price, but it is a price worth paying! i will not leave you alone. " he looked at her, the fire in his eyes even larger now, "Now, where is it that we are going to be staying? " he asked, he had already lost four people because he left them alone, he wouldnt let himself lose another.

A-star wisely said nothing for the time being until her eyes picked out nice lair that was near the top of the mountain range it would be colder there, and the cold she was used to. "That is the one I will use." She flew towards a very large empty dragon lair, that previous dragons had owned. But now none did and it would do temparily thought the female.

grendal nodded and flew after a-star. he landed at the entrance and looked around, "good choice... but how are you going to seal it?" he asked before walking in with her. he looked around, something was odd about this place, not evil odd...just, odd. he shook off the feeling and sat down inside the cave, reverting back to his human form.

A-star only smiled at that. "I will close it with an ice seal, you will be able to pass through it because it will be liquid ice, but to those who see it from afar they will think it is hard like diamonds."

grendal nodded and said "okay." he look down at the armor, it was strange to him though, the technology of dragons. how they were able to create armor and weapons that were light as a feather yet stronger then mythril. and the legend of the dragon champion actually being real.. all this at once, it was strange. yet grendal knew it was his destiny to fulfill this role.

A-star turned and began to breath out what happeared to an icy mist, as it slowly enclosed the entrance way, coating it as she said in a liquid ice that hardened only slightly but was indeed see through and looked from their side to be almost like crystal.
"That will do it for now, and it will keep my scent from escaping to the outside world." Then she headed deeper into the warmer bowls of the cave. Already her scent was starting to over power the area, and her pussy as her tail swayed in a hypnotic way was starting to swell.

grendal could smell the scent, but was able to control himself, his will was strong. yet... he didnt know how long he would be able to last against it. he closed his eyes and began to think back to the times he spent with his family, with his friends. he would never let these memories leave him. he sighed slightly, and stood up. he decided to go and check on a-star, since it was getting dark, and she had been silent for a while

A-star was curled up her side, but it was easy to tell she was not herself. The pain of not mating had already begun to set it, and her talons were dig into the hard cavern floor making deep gouges there that would tell a female had been in heat.

grendal saw a-star like this, and knew he had to do something... he closed his eyes and began to try and reach out to her in her mind. he was able to reach her mind, and began to send calming pictures, of peaceful oceans, of grassy meadows, of great forests. anything that he thought would help her calm down he used. he sensed that he had eased her mind enough for him to approach her without getting hurt. "a-star." he said calmly, "its me, grendal."

A-star turned her head and glanced at him. Lucky enough that the images had worked so that she didn't attack him. "What do you want?" The tone wasn't very friendly but then who would be in a siguation like hers.

grendal said, "relax... turn into your human form... i wish to help you, " he stopped for a moment then continued "i do not waant to see you in so much pain..." he then thought, unaware that his mind and thoughts were wide open "especially since i care deeply for you... a-star...

A-star heard his thoughts clearly and turned her head towards him. "You are not in love with me are you?" Came the question, though she had started to reverse shape into her human form. Though really she hadn't expected him to help her in this matter.

grendal nodded, "yes... i am, even if you arent, i do love you." he waited for a moment, wanting to hear her reply. he looked at her, honesty in his eyes. it was true, he was in love with her... he would gladly give up his life for her.

A-star spoke once her tansformation was complet. "Well I did think you were handsome for a human. As for love that would be a bit sudden for me. I like you, but it takes one of my kind a long time to fall in love and I have not known you overly long so it may take awhile before I fall in love with you. Though I am not adverse to the possiblity."

grendal nodded, "i understand that a-star." he then added "also, i will help you with your heat, but not in the way that we would be mates, i will just help to relieve some of it." he began to take off the dragon armor gauntlets first before removing the rest of the armor until he was back in his mercenary armor

After several nights A-star's heat cycle soon dissappeared, and the worst was over for now. She awoke in the morning feeling more like herself and smiled. The painful sensation of that cycle of her kind was no more it had ended. "Thank the heavens the cycle has gone and now I can undo the seal."

grendal was already awake when a-star woke up. he was at the very back of the cave. he had seen some strange writing on the walls, along with stranger pictures... suddenly he came across one that startled him. it was a picture of a human wearing the dragon champion armor, a dragon that looked alot like a-star, and the two of them fighting what seemed to be a giant demon... then he noticed that there was a large indentation in the shape of the dragon champion's sword, which grendal named 'caliburn' an olden times word that he heard meant 'peace between races.' "hmm..." he said to himself as he looked at the writing. "i wonder..."

A-star walked to the entrance of the cave, and blew flames upon the liquid shield, which vaporized it and now left it open. Then she went back to find Grendal. She eventually found him staring at odd pictures on the walls. "Well that looks very interesting I wonder if that happened long ago, or if it is a sign."
